Position Title

: Senior Completion Engineer

Location : Vietnam

Requirements:

  • Engineering or science graduate, preferably having completed a recognised petroleum engineering foundation programme with an operator or service company.
  • 8 yrs completion design and installation experience.
  • Expert in sand-face completion technologies, sand-face completion design and placement.
  • Ideally had exposure to a range of rig operations (land, drillships, semi-submersibles and jack-ups).
  • Ability to communicate with management, team members and asset representatives, and with Client's contractors.

  • We are looking for engineering or science graduates, preferably having completed a recognised petroleum engineering foundation programme with an operator or service company.
  • Solid experience in completion design and installation experience with a broad knowledge of sand control types and their application, artificial lift methods and flow assurance issues.
  • Skilled user of completion design tools such as Prosper, WellCat, WellPlan, ScaleChem, Frac-pro or Stimplan.
  • Experienced in the design and installation a wide range of completion types, (land, platform, subsea and deepwater wells).
  • Our client has an immediate opening for one Senior Completion Engineer - offshore installation supervisory for subsea completion which Schlumberger supply equipment and personnel. (typically consisting of TCP, permanent hydraulic set packer, permanent downhole gauge, Surface Controlled-subsurface Safety Valve and 7” Expro Landing string package.

Working condition is as follows:

Day supervisor :
Around from 5 Oct to 25 Oct completion program review : onshore office then transit to rig for offshore supervisory task. 0600hrs to 1800hrs.

The Senior Completion Engineer will act as the offshore Representative for offshore completion operations and will be responsible for a variety of tasks:

  • Able to execute supervisory representation for a broad, overall offshore gas downhole completion operations.
  • Able to effectively communicate and interface with customers, contractors and a project team.  Will serve as a key point of contact for customer technical support.
  • Will review offshore completion procedures.
  • Will provide technical leadership during offshore downhole completion operations.
  • Will be primary staff responsible for managing the interfaces between subsystems and other contractor’s scopes of supply on assigned projects

Successful Candidates will possess and demonstrate the following working knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Vetco Subsea Trees, Expro Landing string, and schlumberger downhole completion tools-permanent hydraulic set packer, TCP, SCSSV.
  • Understanding and knowledge of offshore downhole completion operations.
  • Experience with offshore Installations.
  • Previous employment / experience working for Subsea downhole tool Manufacturing company(s) or Similarly Related Engineering Company is desired.

Entry Qualifications:

  • BSME + over 10 years combined experience in relevant design engineering, project engineering and systems engineering, preferably directly related to subsea oilfied equipment.
  • Prior experience as lead project engineer for 3 or more subsea completion system projects of significant work scope.
  • 3 or more years of relevant subsea completion systems level experience, either with a subsea engineering company or subsea equipment supplier. 
  • Strong understanding and significant work experience in at least three of the following product/ engineering areas: (1) subsea completions and tree systems,
  • Offshore installation experience on drilling rigs and/or service vessels.
  • Strong understanding of subsea industry codes, specifications and regulations, including API specifications, ISO regulations, ASME pressure vessel codes and DnV cathodic protection standards.
  • Must demonstrate strong planning and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-tasking team environment.
  • Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook, Powerpoint
